Aluminum-Copper-Lithium Alloy 2050 Developed for Oct 27, 2009 · The alloy 2050 was defined for a medium to high strength and high damage tolerance alloy intended to out-perform the property balance of 2xxx thin plate alloys and 7xxx thick plate alloys. Depending on Cu and Li content, three main hardening precipitates can be found in Al-Cu-Li alloys (for Cu in the range 2 to 5%).
